A Farm full of stories
On the edge of a small village between Borba and Estremoz, there is a Monte from other times, different generations. Endless stories with a common denominator...it belonged to good people who liked to share their fortunate, from the bread and wine in the pots that were made there, to the meat in salt pans that they fed to everyone who worked there. Around the main house, fruit trees flourished, well cared for, among carefully planted flowers. The water that was always there in abundance fed the beauty of the place.
A story that deserves continuity.
Needing a full renovation, this Monte is composed of:
The main house
Based on a plot of 3750m2, partially walled and fully fenced. The house follows the slope of the land and has two floors. There are 16 divisions, some with original features.
A house for animals, the old wine cellar, the old cake house, the wood oven are still there.
From the large terrace you can see the Serra D´Ossa. (the hills).
Warehouses (we call Casões in Portuguese)
In front of the house and only separated by a small road, there are 2.4 hectares of clean land where wheat used to be planted, two lovely houses, the well, the washers' tank, a huge flower pot and a large tank that still receives water by gravity. water that flows there from a spring upstream of the village.
Seen from a distance, the property also looks like a small village, in need of life.
Technical aspects:
Electricity, water and sewage are from the public network.
There is an ongoing process of regularization of areas of the house
It is 1h40 from Lisbon.
From Estremoz and Borba it is only 10 minutes away.
We look forward to your visit!
