In Versailles-Montbauron, a contemporary house of 280 m² and its garden.
The house, built in 1995, spans three stories. Its facades are of light-coloured rendered stone, with numerous windows and French glass doors opening onto balconies and a raised terrace on the garden side.
Built on sloping land and adjoining its twin, it features two independent entrances on the street side, preceded by a 70 m² courtyard, and a 380 m² garden on the opposite side, below the street.
Indoors, the building has five bedrooms (with the possibility of adding two or more), a raised terrace on the upper level and two large spaces that could be converted into reception rooms or bedrooms on the ground floor and garden level. The garden level opens onto a large paved terrace and the greenery, which is free from any noise pollution. In its centre, a fish pond.
Ground floorThe level extends over a surface area of 130 m², facing the street. Plenty of light enters through numerous French windows. Half of the surface is not partitioned and forms a large space of 75m² overlooking the garden, which could easily become an open plan office or a large reception room. The entrance on the street side serves a room with a separate door leading outside and the sanitary facilities. The floors are tiled or new parquet.
Garden level
From the ground floor, a wide staircase leads to the lower level, facing the garden to the south. Two thirds of the space (approximately 75 m²) is taken up a plateau with no dividing walls and large French windows. Further on, the shower room, a separate toilet and two rooms without windows that could be used as storage spaces for various items take up the rest of the space.
First floor
Two staircases lead up to the first floor, one of which starts in the second independent entrance on the ground floor. All in all, five bedrooms are spread over 75 m². They are all served by a large landing. The two largest of them enjoy French windows opening out onto a 60 m² terrace, with a view of the roofs of Versailles.
